Daiwa House Signs Land Transfer Agreement with Urban Renaissance Agency and Memorandum with Kawasaki Municipal Government
Daiwa House Industry Co., Ltd. (Head office: Osaka; “Daiwa House”), which won the bid of the Tonomachi A District in the auction held by Urban Renaissance Agency on May 9, 2014, announced that the company and the Agency have entered into a land transfer agreement on June 30, 2014.
On the same day, Daiwa House signed a memorandum regarding community development in the King Skyfront with the Kawasaki Municipal Government which states specific collaboration, following the general agreement on welfare, environment and local revitalization concluded by the parties on July 19, 2014.
- Daiwa house will carry out community development mainly in the King Skyfront A district for local revitalization in mutual cooperation with the Kawasaki Municipal Government.
- In addition to research and development (in the areas of health, medical care, welfare, and environment) and business functions, exchange promotion functions as well as functions to provide convenience and comfort which promote research activities carried out in the King Skyfront will be established.
- Daiwa House will establish these functions by effectively utilizing its network including domestic and foreign companies which was built through its business activities.
- The Kawasaki Municipal Government will work closely with Daiwa house to attract businesses while coordinating the specific functions with the district plan and needs of the surrounding areas.
